Camping & facilities
Bonjour, Camping de L’Ardan is located on an island between the river Ardan and the Canal du Nivernais in the sunny department of Nièvre in the Burgundy region. To the left of our site, the cows live on a sloping estate, on the right is the small authentic village of Chaumot. The pleasant town of Corbigny is 3 km away, where there are all kinds of shops and supermarkets. We offer you a holiday on a campsite with less than fifty pitches where nature and conviviality are the key words.
Pitches
At camping de l’Ardan you will not find fenced camping pitches. We do offer a beautiful site surrounded by water where the most beautiful trees provide you with shade. In consultation you can choose a spot here to enjoy a well-deserved holiday.
Fresh bread
Fresh bread is available every day, which is supplied by the local bakery. You can pick up the bread daily between 08:30 and 10:00 at the reception. The order for the bread must be communicated a day in advance. There are order lists for this at the reception that you can fill in.
Bistro
Our bar & bistro, with a beautiful terrace, is open from April 1 to October 1. From 8.30 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 10 pm. You can dine here from 19:00. On Wednesdays, the bar and bistro are closed from 12:00. There is a nice changing menu with local products.
We recommend that you make a reservation for dinner. This can be done at the reception or at the bar.
We also serve breakfast from 8:30 am: croissant, jam, 1/4 baquette, butter, egg, orange juice and coffee. Costs € 7.00 per person. Make a reservation the night before.
Sanitary building
The sanitary facilities will be completely renovated in 2022, so that everything is neat and fresh again. The space has several showers and toilets. You can also use our washbasins and wash cabins. Of course, the sanitary building has hot water for dishes or laundry. There is also a toilet and shower room accessible to wheelchair users. It is nice to know that we do not use shower tokens. If you have a chemical toilet, you can empty it at the back of the sanitary building. You can also use a washing machine, tokens are available at the reception. There is also a fridge-freezer that you can use.
Other information
*Other information In the bar & bistro and on the terrace there is a good WiFi connection.
*At the reception you can find several cycling and walking routes or information for fun days out. Think of a day at Vezelay, flea markets, a day of shopping in Dijon or a wine walk in Auxerre.
*It is also possible to fish from the campsite. For this you must be in possession of a fishing license.
*Books and games can be borrowed from the bar & bistro.
*The pleasant town of Corbigny is 3 kilometers away. Here you will find several supermarkets, shops and garages. The weekly market is held here every Friday and a large market on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
*Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a leash on the campsite. And can be walked outside the camping area.
*The waste must be separated and can be deposited in the waste containers on the campsite. Glass can be deposited just outside the campsite.
